Deceptive ways...

When I was about to step on the trace left by the foot marks...

...a thought embraced me...

these were of the unknown...could be of those who were bound by their beliefs, driven by their goals, self-contented, self-less souls...

...having seen and learnt from the influence and experiences of the real life images, this thought stung me hard...no wonder - a life time leaves a trace forever...

Silence of the Lamp...

Silence is sometimes seen louder among chaos...
Like a light in darkness...

...While the highest frequency has the probability to be heard more, hopes are not engulfed by the slightest possibility of silence too, making an impact!

Not far away...

It's just a stretch...

Hold on...

When things seem to fall apart, there's always something to hold them together...It could be -
...few words,
...a smile,
...a hug,
...a walk,
...a thought,
...a mail...
I try to make sure that I don't miss anyone who need the above...

Camping...in Blue Desert

Sail across the skies...

If I happen to wake up my next morning, by scorching heat in the middle of the Sahara...but with a tent and sky like this...I can lie there for few more hours!

It would feel like am in a Yacht, sailing on a blue sea when the Sky God's are looking down at me!

White Carpet for driving...

Bulls eye -->O

Aiming at a bright light source always produces fringes with varying colors n intensity...ven I adjusted to this frame, was able to get perfect colors as in a dart board...
There you go..."Bulls Eye"

When the Gods were throwin flowers at me...

At the Minoru park chappell nearby. I have been planning to visit it for a long time...

The moment it started snowing heavily, realised that there could be no better time and ventured out...this frame was just cool...entire place was getting filled with snow. Slight blur is due to the layer formed on my lens coz of snow...it was freezing cold and I had to cover my camera with one hand to get the shot...

Standing Guard!!

By the tree side, when I stood...

Shopping to Ski <>

Skiing is on the cards after trying out ice skating, rather ice balancing!

It might be more easier than skating though, mainly because you don’t fall hard…hope to experience it before I leave…not the fall my friends, skiing!

I just loved the backdrop, water being sprayed on to form ice layers, the way the skates were arranged and the guy trying to decide on the best one to choose!

Journey of a lifetime ~

How do you describe the feeling that you get, after years and years of expectations to do something that you always wanted & you succeeded…am sure there are countless hearts who experienced the same…and some still waiting, believe me you are more lucky.

To go up an hill, see the distant hills, feel the cool breeze at the top of it, were some of my desires that I had…for years. And did I loose my enthusiasm all along! never…I just did not want to stop taking pictures, I wanted to explore. What better way than going up the whistler at -40’C wind chill…Woooow…awesome!

Took this picture through the glass [glass was blurred & with friends help was able to focus out] more than 1000 feet above, both the car ropes moving up & down due to wind, extreme cold, shivering hands, ice cold feet, gasping breath…

Luckily I got stuck up there for 5 minutes due to some problem! I was glad, not my companions in the Gondola…That gave me some time to take this…I could have taken better shots, if I had owned a better lens... but was happy with the output I got...

Bubye Summer...

If winter brought in freshness then the summer made me smile…

I may not be here till the spring. But the way I was treated with the colors of the withering leaves in the Canadian Summer, will be bright in my memories.

My tryst with the Gold...Naaaa...

One more of mom’s home made jewel [plastic], believe me its worth less than a $. But she did love the snap that I showed it to her…infact she did not believe that it’s the one that she made…

You can guess how a creator feels when he sees the output of his hard work…was tough to get the light at proper angles to get this color…with no tripods, proper support for lights, at home in the midnight…all worth it to see it…

Arena ^

I just loved the way I saw the building from this angle…the library…gave me an arena kind of look with that color. Sometimes when gazing at the majestic tall buildings, feels like to get lost between them and never come back.

Sharkiee...

I have always wanted to have close encounters…well not of this kind though…

Flying Saucer's!

How it would be if there was no separation between me and the beautiful Jelly fishes? I did wish…they are the most elegant known to me…some of them extremely poisonous…don't remember the count of documentaries that I have seen on them in the Discovery & NGC...

Run under the water...

She is a Belluga whale...it was an amazing sight to see her swim around, so close...at the aquarium near Stanley Park. I hardly spoke as I saw her body muscles working elegantly with power to carry her forward...

There are a couple of shots with her little one's which she gave birth to, recently...Cud'nt post them as they were slightly blurred...

Festival of lights *

It was my first trip to such a festival...
I usually don't prefer to walk past a park just like that...
But I did not hesitate to visit Vandusen Gardens when I was invited, having heard that it would be fully decorated with lights...

...lights standing out in the dark taking the forms of the trees was a pleasant sight...
I wish I had taken my SLR...

Awake in my dreams!

If the nights are going to be like this, am ready to be awake all night!
...a shot from my window...after snowing

Signals of life...

There are some decisions that have to be taken at various stages of our life, fairly critical one's. There may or may not be sufficient time to analyze.

For me, instincts take over the control and there are a few signals that let me decide my action points...and when it does, it glows bright. Those decisions could just change the entire scenario, opening up a gate that could lead us to a world of opportunities or a dead end!

I have personally known people who have taken such decisions...they may be shaking hands with lady luck or still struggling to surface up, but one thing is for sure, there are a plenty of lessons to be taken to the grave.

Circling around@

Sometimes we end up at the same place where we started...I have been there a few times...I take it as a blessing in disguise...who knows, there are a lot many ways of doing things better...striving hard for perfection again and again is something that I don't like...
But I do love the way we put in our efforts to try to make things perfect, the first time!

My dream room colors...

Interiors...

Interior decoration often amuses me...and I would pick up any magazine that has pictures of it.

But I have heard that they are mostly edited with softwares before publishing, to make it more attractive. I am very sure about not using it much and try to extract the true richness from the frame. This is one of my favorites.

I am eager to visit such places, especially churches, where we too often come across aisles with colored pieces of glasses put together.
Juz love the colors! do u?

Hanging on:

Using black as the backdrop to capture the subjects, was programmed by default into my mind...that was an excuse for someone who was just shooting within his small room with little time left...
...For some reason I liked this stool so much that I had wanted to see how it looks with that old varnished legs, with little bit of lighting from my customized low power light sources...isn't it stunning! vel the legs were on the air...
...the other leg is in line, disappearing into the dark.

Human bonds:

So intricate it is...
...the human bonds - some making it the happiest days of a lifetime, some like the ghosts lurking in the dark...Many face that and get tangled in it, struggling to get oneself relieved...many sort out solutions by holding on to everyone...being highly infectious, spreading joy and bringing smiles on to everyone that the journey becomes so wonderful...arent the one's blessed!

Split...spli...spl...sp...s

Wel...dis is no telescopic shot at another galaxy...this was shot in Santhome, on Deepawali day
...the awesome behaviour of light...the right one is the fading image of the left ball of sparkles...

Glitter in the water:

Underwater shooting has always been exciting, even by watching in NGC & Discovery. I had thought that to afford for an underwater camera would cost me a huge fortune. Well now Olympus stylus 850W proved it false as it comes at an affordable cost, built for underwater shooting, rugged one to bear short falls. Now looking forward to take some underwater shots...!

Hmmm...coming back to our little shark's glitter, I had taken this with my olympus few months back. The challenges that I had faced were
...to avoid the reflection on aquarium walls
...to wait for the proper turn of our little one's
...to get it auto focussed on the shark, across the walls
...shifting focus off the moving dirt particles

Off for a start

At the olympic stadium, Canada...
My first try at abstract shapes...
Also would not forget my experience on the ice with the ice skates on...toughest thing that I have attempted so far...but I did entertain the people there for a while...

...to know how it is to be...imagine being a striker on the carrom board with lots of boric powder...! how does that sound...

...when I watch the winter olympics in 2010 on TV, it would be a familiar place for me...

Lost in the Woods:

To walk across somthin like a rain forest when it is raining...such frames I had only imagined of!
Remember reading a phrase long back...
"I like walking in the rain because no one can see me crying"
These words can be from a wounded heart...felt that such an atmosphere can heal any wound...

It would have been perfect, had there been little more light - getting evenly distributed...I am glad that I am able to get some frames that can be put on my laptop as background, instead of putting some snap of an unknown professional photographer...

Vintage Snow...

I have always been attracted towards the black and white aspect of life...this one located on my way from apartment to office...its a big play ground with lots of grass...when it rains the whole place is crowded with ducks, Seagulls & all sorts of birds - feeding on the worms and insects...but when it snows it becomes a bit tough to cross the terrain. These days it has become a routine thing for me to carry my camera. Since the sky wasnt that blue I thought a neutral color would come out well with the sun shining bright...and I was in a good position with both my feet in snow & water...framed it!

Planet that I want...

Just what I like...green on ground & blue on sky.
At the Peace Arch Park...US-Canada border, taken from Canada.

Coldest place I have been in...

I did feel how it is to be at -40'C wind chill, but this place felt colder than that...small ice formations floating over the water and wind blowing forcefully that a frost bite is possible if one is out there for few mins...
