Engulfed with Darkness...

I still remember, a policeman who played in the same clay court whereI I started going to play tennis asked me. "Why is that you picked up tennis? Why not something else..." I did'nt expect someone to ask me like that, but what immediately came to my mind was "This is something that I dont love, but always wanted to give it a try" and I did say that to him as well.

I should admit that though it involved some practice matches with my cousin, Justin and some with the club members...it is something that I liked playing but hate missing it now!

Well I thought may be its time to shed some light on my "Babolat" [ Those who are familiar with Rafael, he uses the same brand]

I had very limited space and one source, still sometimes that tempts me to attempt something like this. Space where I'm trying to set this up is actually my wardrobe.

NOTE: It was a torch light, which is safe. But should remember not to look into the light.

Thirst for freedom...

I admire these beasts...having seen some of them in races, awesome spirit they have...seabiscuit is still one of my favorite movies...though they are well kept and maintained, compared to India, it really feels sad to see them strolling around the streets and on the roads. I often come across such instances in my trips.

Galloping among the valleys and on plains, with freedom is how I would love to see them...don't think they'll differ with my opinion!

Nevertheless they only add beauty to the magnificent architecture and designs of the past...

Communicating thoughts...

While I have been capturing things differently, I should admit the fact that my soul has lost the complete freedom to enjoy the beauty around me, when I am holding a camera.

I guess You know that it can only be felt by those who have been running against time in a location to shoot the best.

But as I go by the rule of life, "You miss some to get some". There is always a loss in a gain.

Its those magical moments!

Have grown up seein lot of photographs in magazines, especially B&W. I also realized that I would converge up on a subject as a Camera in a moving crane would do... Its natural that we all see in different ways, the world around us. But there are some distinct ways that makes some moments special.

Thats why my friend & cinematographer Jai, says "best photographs are always captured in magical moments". I think thats what I am always after, but have been successful rarely. Simply because the best of it happens naturally and you got to b der waiting !

Count Down...

Tower of CRAIGDARROCH CASTLE, on my trip to Victoria. The interiors were also fabulous. That was the first time I had been to a castle of Western origin. I was not able to take many pictures as I wasnt feeling so well. It was a good view from the window visible in the picture...

Some of my earlier posts like Kaleidoscope & Telescopic view were taken there...

Both sides...

For some reasons - put in a situation I see both the sides, winning & loosing [am sure am not the only one doing it]. The thought of someone loosing something to you, would only make the achievement or win more valuable than anything. But it does keeps one reminding that these are just part n parcel of life...and we all have to keep the feet on the ground!

Nothing great about the picture...it was taken in the wax museum, a chamber that was completely dark except this strip of yellow lights illuminated against a mirror. I liked the reflectivity that was achieved from my white part of the shoes...

...guess which one was da reflection!

Sparkling Spares...

I have never been to an international Auto Show...just because they were happening either far off/ when there wasnt enough time, when I was in India. But lately I have got the opportunities to do few things that I have always wanted to.

B.C. Stadium in Vancouver was full of cars & bikes and no wonder I did not hesitate to nod my head to pay a visit. I held the hand bars of some of the bikes which I had seen on screen only.
This particlar frame reminded me of my college days & my project in 'Alloy Wheels' designing. It's great to see so many alloy wheels coming out & few of us also knew what all happens in the designing part some 7 years back...

Cruising Along...

That was a cool race...but he did give some snow splashes and we ended up with it all over us...you can see snow splashing towards us !

Never tried Skiing alone...but took a Snow Limo ride...an option to quench your thirst for skiing...
...where we will be put in a sledge and a well trained skiier, takes us down the hill...awesome experience. It would feel like we are going to flip and fall, but it doesnt happen, at the hands of the experts...

...these series of snaps clicked on my ride...ride was relatively fast n tried to capture with as much stability as possible...

Lone ride...

Skiing, one of my favorite...but does not come easy without few falls...

We were travelling fast and this guy was coming down the slope, so cudnt focus on him...

...had to make the tree, prime focus, but knew frame would come out well as it was a very cool backdrop!

Ready to Roar...

Bikes have always fascinated me, cars just dont impress me for some reasons...

This is such a lovely color that wud immediately mix the viewers thought with its color...mainly coz of the light I got on it...

I would love to have a modified version, might get one soon...certainly would not prefer to hold a steering...

On track...

I have always had a desire to watch from the front when travelling in the train...but the way our trains are designed, it may not be possibe for everyone.

So this ride of mine, sitting in the Captains chair of Skytrain in Vancouver makes it special...this is one of those things that I had always wanted to do...

Red Carpet...

There was no intention to get anything inline/symmetric...had taken since the contrast was immediately attracting me...

But on seeing the output, I was excited to see that the border of the carpet aligned in line with the roof's top border!
