Arena ^

I just loved the way I saw the building from this angle…the library…gave me an arena kind of look with that color. Sometimes when gazing at the majestic tall buildings, feels like to get lost between them and never come back.

Sharkiee...

I have always wanted to have close encounters…well not of this kind though…

Flying Saucer's!

How it would be if there was no separation between me and the beautiful Jelly fishes? I did wish…they are the most elegant known to me…some of them extremely poisonous…don't remember the count of documentaries that I have seen on them in the Discovery & NGC...

Run under the water...

She is a Belluga whale...it was an amazing sight to see her swim around, so close...at the aquarium near Stanley Park. I hardly spoke as I saw her body muscles working elegantly with power to carry her forward...

There are a couple of shots with her little one's which she gave birth to, recently...Cud'nt post them as they were slightly blurred...

Festival of lights *

It was my first trip to such a festival...
I usually don't prefer to walk past a park just like that...
But I did not hesitate to visit Vandusen Gardens when I was invited, having heard that it would be fully decorated with lights...

...lights standing out in the dark taking the forms of the trees was a pleasant sight...
I wish I had taken my SLR...

Awake in my dreams!

If the nights are going to be like this, am ready to be awake all night!
...a shot from my window...after snowing

Signals of life...

There are some decisions that have to be taken at various stages of our life, fairly critical one's. There may or may not be sufficient time to analyze.

For me, instincts take over the control and there are a few signals that let me decide my action points...and when it does, it glows bright. Those decisions could just change the entire scenario, opening up a gate that could lead us to a world of opportunities or a dead end!

I have personally known people who have taken such decisions...they may be shaking hands with lady luck or still struggling to surface up, but one thing is for sure, there are a plenty of lessons to be taken to the grave.

Circling around@

Sometimes we end up at the same place where we started...I have been there a few times...I take it as a blessing in disguise...who knows, there are a lot many ways of doing things better...striving hard for perfection again and again is something that I don't like...
But I do love the way we put in our efforts to try to make things perfect, the first time!

My dream room colors...

Interiors...

Interior decoration often amuses me...and I would pick up any magazine that has pictures of it.

But I have heard that they are mostly edited with softwares before publishing, to make it more attractive. I am very sure about not using it much and try to extract the true richness from the frame. This is one of my favorites.

I am eager to visit such places, especially churches, where we too often come across aisles with colored pieces of glasses put together.
Juz love the colors! do u?

Hanging on:

Using black as the backdrop to capture the subjects, was programmed by default into my mind...that was an excuse for someone who was just shooting within his small room with little time left...
...For some reason I liked this stool so much that I had wanted to see how it looks with that old varnished legs, with little bit of lighting from my customized low power light sources...isn't it stunning! vel the legs were on the air...
...the other leg is in line, disappearing into the dark.

Human bonds:

So intricate it is...
...the human bonds - some making it the happiest days of a lifetime, some like the ghosts lurking in the dark...Many face that and get tangled in it, struggling to get oneself relieved...many sort out solutions by holding on to everyone...being highly infectious, spreading joy and bringing smiles on to everyone that the journey becomes so wonderful...arent the one's blessed!

Split...spli...spl...sp...s

Wel...dis is no telescopic shot at another galaxy...this was shot in Santhome, on Deepawali day
...the awesome behaviour of light...the right one is the fading image of the left ball of sparkles...

Glitter in the water:

Underwater shooting has always been exciting, even by watching in NGC & Discovery. I had thought that to afford for an underwater camera would cost me a huge fortune. Well now Olympus stylus 850W proved it false as it comes at an affordable cost, built for underwater shooting, rugged one to bear short falls. Now looking forward to take some underwater shots...!

Hmmm...coming back to our little shark's glitter, I had taken this with my olympus few months back. The challenges that I had faced were
...to avoid the reflection on aquarium walls
...to wait for the proper turn of our little one's
...to get it auto focussed on the shark, across the walls
...shifting focus off the moving dirt particles

Off for a start

At the olympic stadium, Canada...
My first try at abstract shapes...
Also would not forget my experience on the ice with the ice skates on...toughest thing that I have attempted so far...but I did entertain the people there for a while...

...to know how it is to be...imagine being a striker on the carrom board with lots of boric powder...! how does that sound...

...when I watch the winter olympics in 2010 on TV, it would be a familiar place for me...
