Miss!

It doesn't take one too long to realise the things that he/ she misses. For me the list is only growing non-stop, but with varying frequencies. At this point of time, place is the only reason that makes me realize it. I miss many that are in chennai!
Family;
Home food;
My Bike;
Sathyam theatre;
Mount Road;
Heat;
Sweat;
Long sound horns at signals;
South Indian food;
Petty shops;

But I should accept the fact that time has recently started playing for me on my side. Nevertheless it does take some things away in return.

Watchin the fall of leaves!

What can I say, the colors of leaves are changing rapidly, especially the Maple leaves...these are the most wonderful colors a painter would love to have after a hard day of mixing colors together. And guess what, everyday I walk to and fro from the office I see nature's hand playing around in getting the best colors that one cannot even imagine sometimes. It is starting to get very cold and it would not be long before nature throws those white flowers on the steet of Vancouver. In India I would have to travel to the extreme north to feel it. But here in "The Rainy City" I juz have to walk out of my apartment. Eagerly waiting for that even though transit is something that would be a challenge especially during those period.

Out on a cold night in Canada:

I dont even know where the dance clubs in chennai are located but I have heard some are in the ECR. Never had a desire to visit too. If dancing was something that I had loved like my brother maybe I would have paid a visit. Here it just happens that whoever happens to cross that busy street in the weekends, go to those dance clubs. It was an extremely cold night when we set out on my first trip to the dance club, stuffing those that I hate the most "Burger" to answer to the echos that I hear inside. The way to the particular street was lit with superb lighting. It was not bright but the entire streets surrounding was lighted based on the construction of the buildings. When I saw the people in the street with amazing costumes & so different, I forgot the the impact of the pain in my hands that I felt due to the chillness of the breeze that was sweeping the entire place. So stylish, so much natural that they all looked like they were made to order. There I was glancing at the variety of cultures taking a stroll in the busy street and was just amazing to be out there. It was like a fashion show, ramp being replaced by the streets! When my friends were quite involved in dancing for a long time, I did try out a few steps. The indoor lighting was just too good & I really felt the absence of my camera. Those are colors that I would love to capture especially when they are beams of different colors ...

In Canada:

My eagerness to explore the colors & skies abroad came to a halt with my flight itenerary being confirmed. I will never forget the distant horizon that I saw in the early morning hours from the flight, something that I had wanted see for so many years. My transit was through Hong Kong & I thoroughly enjoyed the journey, even though I felt uneasy & cramped coz of the engine noise & space constraints. Business class wud b better, am sure.

Vancouver, this town is a beautiful one brushing everyone often with a cool breeze...First time am in an atmosphere filled with freshness of the flowers...at least not that much smoke that checks the suspension system of our respiratory system. Way people respect rules here, amazing! can only hope to expect it to happen in our place in my lifetime... Far away river, airport, big mountains with an icing on the top have always been my wish to see list, but when that becomes possible altogether from my balcony, I guess am a bit lucky.

Happen to go to my first base ball game! it was nice to hang out with everyone, get to see people and their behaviour. Went to Stanley park, a big one along the river. Visited Canada Place, lovely view of the hills, river & distant cities. Visited Aquarum - fishes, dolphins, whale...planning to visit a rain forest & few more in the coming days...Heard there are too many good places to go around. But currently not able to travel that much due to the working hours. Sure this place is costly compared to some other towns here...but prices are OK when there is a sale, reasonably good ones. Has to pay tax and products are costly because of that reason. Food items are very costly and cooking is the best option available.

People here used to glance when I wandered around with my overcoat in summer with amazement. Even that was a bit cold for me. I am at the beginning of the winter & temperature is around 14 degrees. Its just going to get more colder dropping to zero & below...

Gear Change*

Now ample time left to pen down...
As expected for some good reasons my career gear did change...and guess what there was never a day where I had relaxed since the month of Feb - mid. Wow...when I stepped out in the morning I used to have no clue when I am going to get back. Seen only sunrises and no sunsets almost all the days during that period. At no point of time did I feel the pressure and there
was not even time to think whats taking my time out, did really enjoy tat a bit. Learned a lot though. Should thank my friend Prasanna for getting me against these challenges. Exercises & workouts could not keep up with me due to the time scarcity I had (its an excuse, shud hav taken some time somehow).
IT:
If day <> Sunday
sujay = Getup early in the morning,
rush to catch my bus,
referring some official documents during the drive,
work til late night,
drop in cab,
midnight dinner,
less sleep,
Go to IT
Else
Sujay = Long sleep,
Photography,
Walking,
Bike Ride

I guess the above best describes my life cycle...for some time! Most of my friends (of the few I have), would have been really pissed off, since I had no touch with them & hope when they read this, they realize it! The only time I felt irritated was when I had to stay in a mansion for nearly 3 months. Though its not new to me, sudden change of food style did bother me...

Me, Pop-corn, Cold Coffee n Taare Zameen Par

I had thought that the combo of pop-corn n cold coffee which are my favorite at satyam would be the best irrespective of the movie.

And I was overwhelmed when it got together with "Taare Zameen Par". It was a fantastic experience watching the movie. Excellent peformance by the lead cast...especially Darsheel & Aamir....and the attention that has been given to every minute details is simply great. Especially with lots of children involved, I dont think I have a memory of having come across someone looking at the camera, when the focus is on the subject. To me it lets one get completely involved with the on screen reality. Entire crew deserves special compliments for making it a wonderful experience and reminding the audience that there are many children who need more care from us. In the process making everyone feel that there are certain things that need special attention.

Personally, I have been a great observer of children and I often enjoy playing with them. The innocent smile on their face would make anyone forget their problems. There could be times when we have to do the same, bringing smile on their face. And today I have been again reminded of how care and affection can bring change in one's life. I would carry on this journey of my life trying to bring smile on more people's faces as much as I could.

Photography

My desire for photography had long been a sleeping volcano…that came out after I bought the camera 5 months back. Growing up without the presence of a camera in the family did not have a negative impact….maybe I would have grown up with it, but without the patience and temperament. Though I very much like portrait & macro photography, I do not restrict myself to such areas alone, especially at the early stages of exploring this vastly undefined horizon, “photography”. There are so many things that brings smile out of me…of that, an interesting/ amazing picture would top my list. I am just trying out my hand with my camera in different ways. To be frank I have used 50% of the options & practiced 25%. As time goes by & I get used to all the features then there would be a chance for me to become a professional. So till then, it’s just a mixture of instincts & experimentations.

எல்லாம் நேரம்:

Used to sit in the beach sand, when Jobless, to while away the time...

Ocean has expanded its reach - because of Tsunami
Times have improved - because of who!
I have risen - because of hard work
But now I just don't have the time to sit and enjoy

Evano Oruvan!

I have started going for movies in the weekends. This time it was the movie Evano Oruvan.

It was really heartening to see one more director who has brought out a film with a script that he had in mind, not influenced by "what the audience might think" thought.

It was evident from the way the part before title appeared on screen. So I had my expectations for the movie raised further, though my wish for seeing the movie was initiated by some of the stills and few clippings.

As the movie progressed I had one thing wavering at the back of my mind. Is it going to be another movie where those unrealistic dream songs come into the picture lighting the darkest places of the cinema theatre. But this was a movie that had all the things perfectly placed.....

Yes there was not even one dream song....making this a special one. Though Maddy has been performing well, this one will stand out for the way he had portrayed his character. Credit goes to the director for the way he had gone out and framed the scenes. Maddy being the dialogue writer has done exceptionally well. Even those few words/ sentences from the characters in the movie are too good. This is going to add that extra feather on his cap. Certainly this would be a distinct milestone in his career as well as for the director. Hope to expect few more movies of this kind, that creates social awareness.

Overall it was a real good movie. A must watch movie, particularly for this generation reminding the happenings in and around the society.

Life...thirsty values

It was a long time since I played..so with our office colleagues went to the beach to play....it was nice to play on the sand running & fallin around. We all took a break after couple of hours.

I happened to get into a conversation with an ice cream vendor selling some Brand's products.
He should have been in his teens & had come from one of those little villages in our vast country.

I asked him what he wants to/ aspires to become, thinking of the answers he would give!

He dint say the names of any of the business tycoons, name his role models...inface he was not even aware of the names I told him....and I realised how unrealistic my thoughts have become that I am not able to relate to all the situations of another person.

He said "I want to study".

It really shook me hard. I felt his heart saying "Common dude, do you know whom you are talking to, am neither a pass out from a college with a degree nor a bunch of asset holder...am juz one of those who continues to earn my bread skipping my passion for study...He also said Gone is gone no use of talking about it now and stared at the vast sea occassionally looking back to see if anyone is approaching to buy....

There I was standing at the beach at 11 A.M. with all those hard earned marks, degree, current earnings....no one had to hit me hard with a hammer....those words were enough...

I have been aware of all this since I have been an active member of a welfare organisation. But then these kind of realistic discussions makes us aware of the hardships that are faced by those not so lucky human beings. I wanted to do some justice, gave him hope that hard work always pays n he can study anytime. I always talk to these kind of people, crack some joke, make them laugh for a while...will definitely do something for such people's ambitions in the future when I have enough of that often referred to by some as "most important thing in life".......MONEY

But I will continue to shop clothes & gadgets as I have always been doing....but with a conscience that would remind me....of the place where I am & my fellow human beings.....

Reading..

Am not an oracious reader....the shelf on the left lists my list of read books. Does not have those philosophical books or research related but just novels, adventure novels...for the type I am....cannot forget the company of them especially when you work monotonously for hours n come back to ur room filled with no one except your belongings...am glad that I have found a shelf for them...

Long time...now fit

It's been quite a while since i wrote from the day i decided to write regularly. That's not something new that i do. But one thing that i have been doing regularly is jogging/ walking around Besant nagar. Has been really great after doing walking/ jogging after a long time. Infact i am really enjoying sweating out by walk rather than in the Gym. I have lost few pounds now and feeling healthy also!

I guess life is going to be quite interesting as the career gear is gonna change abruptly. Am not too sure wat is in store for me, but as of now am ready to face the song.....lemme see...

Life has been too boring for some time now and i think the bells have to ring aloud now or else i should.

First day

Day was pretty normal as usual. Have been planning to get up early in the morning for a very long time. Well it has always remained unexecuted. Another night is approaching with a hope of getting up early.

Life is not going very briskly at this moment/ period. Sort of guy I am adventure is the first and last resort. But unfortunately am into a career that does not promise much roller coaster rides.

Going around the world has been on my cards for long and I am looking forward to it before marriage.

Day went very normal at office. Actually I had plans to buy a mobile. Went for a walk in the beach and strolled into a mobile shop but was not impressed with the very few models. Am gonna take one tomorrow. Though I may not wake up early...checking into blogger daily is gonna be my routine activity hereafter as I like writing - be it about me, people around me or the world around us.

Favorite's

Though I'm no fan of a particular actor, my list of favorite actors/ films of those which I prefer include ( lets go from south to north ) Surya, Abhishek Bachhan, Ajay Devgan, Hirthik, Shahrukh & Amitabh Bachhan. One person whom I admire much is RGV. Sarkaar is something that I have seen so many times and I always feel like watching it again when I see a clipping from it. What a movie? And the performances too good, that are possible only from a matured cast and a director who has all the frames, has it sculptured in his mind while preparing the script. Manirathnam is another person who has made every Tamilian proud with his creations. Some of his stunning films have the areas of human relations highlighted to a great extent & portrayed very naturally. And this makes one too often feel like that at least one of his characters has characteristics that resemble his/ her's.

Likes [now this is my cooler - shot at home]

Lets start off with the favorite subject for all. Entertainment!

For me in that category, movies come first. After a days hard work/ in the weekends there is nothing that can get yourself relaxed but a good entertaining movie. I enjoy all entertaining movies, irrespective of the cast/ crew. To me acting is something that cannot be expressed to perfection by all. So I look for the frames, making & the screenplay. Over the years my taste for movies have refined itself to an extent where I have started to enjoy the close up shots capturing the expressions of the characters. I can even remember some of the shots that have been etched in my memory forever. I will list out a few afterwards.

Though cinematography is one of the key factors that I look forward in a movie, I also prefer the movies made by certain directors. When the director starts seeing things in a cinematographer's view & the cinematographer sees it from the director's view then the outcome is what we call the viewer's delight. There have been some exceptional movies made by this combination.....
