Walk by my side...

Who will mind to have a look at their shadow, when he/she is right behind them!


I was sitting at the gallery far away. But as I watched them walking across from the left...I came down and took my position quickly to capture them together. Frame says it all and I love pictures with such frames, that speak even without seeing the faces.

I have all the while kept that thought away. Now am at a stage where its just practically impossible to neglect the fact that am into the time zone where, I have to wear a ring/ tie a knot/ say Khubool...but I also have the liberty to live my life, with just my shadow.


It's really a pain to see my friends families struggling to find a match for their son/ daughter. And here I am least bothered about it, but wondering what lies ahead of me. It's hard to say how lucky I would be, but I definitely know that she would be the luckiest.

Can't help thinking like - Will I let my partner know my blogs existence...what sort of interest she would have...will she like photography...and so many...

And am so keen to see to the movie 'Kites' looking at the trailer. Was impressed with the captions that is shown in the trailer:

...did not realise that I had touched 201 posts! Wonder how many got bored...and never came back to visit!

Was really glad when two of the well wishing friends from here bothered to check how I was, during my long absence. Am getting better...and back in Canada. But my usage of keys in laptop would be lesser than usual.

Drawing Contest...

Does'nt it seem like every bit of cloud is trying to draw some attention...

Yesterday's sky...happened to see it luckily, its been a while. Summer will serve lotta these...Someone up there might be throwin a Cocktail party...

To me each cloud is a celebrity, drawing attention...

Split Illumination...

I do prefer shooting dark with black in contrast...but when the sun was shining bright 2 days back on a trip and when I had a fancy roof above me, am not gonna take a walk away without few shots...low angle gets things above you in perspective...

These were shot with a normal Canon power shot digital camera not my SLR. As soon as I saw this place in a shopping complex, I knew camera does'nt matter. So if you have time, don't let the opportunity go, I aint luk gud but if you have a nice dark costume and a cooler, give it a go...it should do it...it all depends how u wanna hav the sunlight on you!

I knew what exactly I wanted, so had told my friend the angle & frame I wanted and positioned myself to the light, the way I expected leaving the zoom to him.

Suspensions from the sky...

I wouldn't mind if my office cubicle is shifted right here!

Am always intrigued by the angles and views from this perspective...well, so many buildings out there with fantastic architecture...

...especially down here in Vancouver, lots of movies have been shot.

Favorite Minutes...

This is the view from my backyard...

Though I have not been able to break my habit of not seeing the dawn, the zeal to watch the dusk across the globe has not depreciated over the years, but only tops my wish list...

I hope I would be able to collect some more of my favorite minutes before dusk...when I travel in the days to come!

Stepping Stones to the Clouds _--_

I have started thinking, will I ever get bored taking pictures with my favorite sky blue backdrop!

Seems to be a 'No', hope you are also not fed up with seeing such colors. Since I have grown up in a place thats often devoid of such colors, it has been my desire to captivate frames with such colors. And so far the hunger for it seems to have not subsided.

Located in a city along the waters, surrounded by icy mountains…
If one takes a deep breathe...
The clean air with the chillness that hits the nostrils and then lungs...
Would leave anyone mesmerized...

Tunnel Rats...

For those who are familiar with the title, this post has got nothing to do with the Vietnam War [1959-1975] .

...Life just carries us through time, our stop watch starts the moment we are born,
...Thereafter the destination seems to extend forever,
...As the length of the journey seems infinite, there may not be any inclination to rest or to part ways, but for some it is that glitter of hope in the distance, that keeps the spirit up!

Recently I read a phrase somewhere "No one knows when life ends once it starts, nice ending happens only in fairy tales". May be true, but for some there is this undying hope that each one would be a character in that fairy tale...

...Am one among that head count!

The Lighter Side...

Like the dark and lighter side of humans.
These may be some of the perceptions towards me...

I'm dark when I don't smile, but I'm light when I do smile
I'm dark when I speak from my heart, but I'm light When I don't
I'm dark when I am silent, but I'm light when I'm humorous
I'm dark when I would like to be alone, but I'm light When I party
I'm dark when I care for others, but I'm light when I'm selfish

Nevertheless this is the way I'm comfortable with and so be it, who cares!
...I guess chennai's hot Sun has nothing to do!

Under the blue sky...

Sometimes things don't turn out as we expected...many a times have to be content with what we have...stepping stones towards the wrinkles, I would say...

Like - would you believe that the output from the camera was like below, after transferring to my laptop...its one of my favorite shots and I had to crop it. I have no clue why it's happening and this is not the first one! Probably I need to format my memory card...

How gud it would have looked if it was in one single piece, I leave it to you...to imagine.

Vintage Snow...

I have always been attracted towards the black and white aspect of life...this one located on my way from apartment to office...its a big play ground with lots of grass...when it rains the whole place is crowded with ducks, Seagulls & all sorts of birds - feeding on the worms and insects...but when it snows it becomes a bit tough to cross the terrain. These days it has become a routine thing for me to carry my camera. Since the sky wasnt that blue I thought a neutral color would come out well with the sun shining bright...and I was in a good position with both my feet in snow & water...framed it!

Stepping into no mans zone, deep into the forest would be always exciting...

Lost in the woods, dry in throat, hungry for days, unending avenues - nothing can stop an adventurer's delight...

Eldorado

Gold, something that I hate among the metals...but I would always ask for more, anything that has its color...especially a stint of light...If I ever manage to build a house of my taste and design, my room would have the most exuberant colors that one can imagine!

Out on a cold night in Canada:

I dont even know where the dance clubs in chennai are located but I have heard some are in the ECR. Never had a desire to visit too. If dancing was something that I had loved like my brother maybe I would have paid a visit. Here it just happens that whoever happens to cross that busy street in the weekends, go to those dance clubs. It was an extremely cold night when we set out on my first trip to the dance club, stuffing those that I hate the most "Burger" to answer to the echos that I hear inside. The way to the particular street was lit with superb lighting. It was not bright but the entire streets surrounding was lighted based on the construction of the buildings. When I saw the people in the street with amazing costumes & so different, I forgot the the impact of the pain in my hands that I felt due to the chillness of the breeze that was sweeping the entire place. So stylish, so much natural that they all looked like they were made to order. There I was glancing at the variety of cultures taking a stroll in the busy street and was just amazing to be out there. It was like a fashion show, ramp being replaced by the streets! When my friends were quite involved in dancing for a long time, I did try out a few steps. The indoor lighting was just too good & I really felt the absence of my camera. Those are colors that I would love to capture especially when they are beams of different colors ...
