It's My World!

It was not long ago that I was the only reader of my blog. It was just me and my blog - a very small world. I think I was more like a lazy traveller who just wanted to see things from his perspective and enjoy it. One fine day it changed and I started travelling through the blogs, the best thing that could have happened to me. That's how some of you know me. Still I am not a frequent blogger, but lots of years is left for me and hope to reach as many as possible.

While everyone is sending wishes for a friendship day, I thought of saying this...


This picture is special because I had taken this picture, with an intention to make it look like a greeting card (well almost!). I am not quite sure how much you all like it ( I really was wondering what text color to choose from, gosh! how tough it would be for the web designers). But since this was my first attempt in doing so, in a way it is special. Am glad to share it with each of those who come across this.

Everyday is a new day and an opening card to get to know someone...blogging is a great way to do that. I do not know how long I would do it actively, but till then the people, their writing and their life's I would come across would definitely be as exciting as a journey for a treasure hunt.

Many unknown...
Thoughts that do not have faces...
Expressions that travel far...
Excitement that lits up the blog arena..

Rendevouz with...

This is not the rendevouz with Simi Garewal...

A very ordinary snap...but does'nt it seem like the flower itself is being interviewed...well it's upto the observer. And this is the interesting perpective that I wanted to captivate which I had mentioned in a post sometime back Framed Forever[ ] . I like that show too, though I don't get to see it often. Such interviews really helps get to know people - the taste of the celebrities & their life style.

Apart from being a nature enthusiast, I like observing people too - especially when there are lots of cultural differences. Adaptability is one of my strengths and I enjoy, being in such ambience.

Collated emoticons!

One sentence that I often quote is "Life throws a bunch of surprises". It all results in, well a mixture of emotions, I say - Collated emoticons!

We all have our own collection isn't it?


It's a pleasure to watch both kids & flowers grow, from close by. Both are full of energy and can make one smile, feel fresh, light & make our day brighter. Now I miss my little darling Niece - Shana very much and can't wait to get back to chennai! Whatever, I still remember the smiles (which I had forgot) she brought of me when I held her in my hands one year back. But for now its juz diff varieties of flowers around Richmond to stare at.

If you were wondering what's so special about this shot...it was among my first few shots from the first day of my stint with my new camera in chennai, 2 yrs back...n am stil a beginner! I wanted to use it on something and walked down my apartment to the front yard with these flowers...

Personally am fond of white and I prefer to keep a shirt & T-shirt of milky white in my wardrobe...

To me, innocence is the first thing that comes to my mind, wherever I see it. I have met/ known few nice people who have alwayz been successful in influencing me, to be a better human. At the end of the day, I would like to close my eyes knowing that I have been, what I wanted to be. Next day does not matter to me.

What will happen without White...well, still willing to while away with whole lot of other colors!

Expressive...

The frame & color that I had in my mind for quite some time...! Wud'nt say that this is what I wanted exactly, but almost - considering that I had no mood to take pictures today!

Have always had a liking for yellow (+black). I realize that I have been filling the pages with flowers...lemme know if any of you is bored lukin at these! but was surprised to know what all yellow symbolises!

Smile is what I see in it...n I hope this brings a smile on all your face too!

Silence that utters...

Silence of a flower...I felt like, it wanted to convey something, but din't! God only knows what it wanted to say.

Simplicity...Untouched

There is something about simplicity that has an extra edge...over the shine/ glossy.

...Otherwise it just feels outta place and too alien, be it whatever. But the reality is sometimes we all tend to neglect the simple one's, isn't it? - that's my opinion.

It has been a while since I went out for a long walk. Today evening, was out for couple of hours walking through the grass fields, among the hills & along the river.

This is what a setting sun, can do...lit up the edges of any object it touches, while going down...challenge is the wind, that moves thin plants...shot at around 730PM!

Bee-in(g) Pink!

There is a guy based out of the US, who was an amateur photographer (1 year back). And some of his snaps can only leave us mesmerized. I had expressed my anguish that I don't get to be in such ambience most of the times.

This is what he said "I suggest looking close by and using macro to find interest in the seemingly mundane. Many times I've seen an unusual treatment of a common object and wished I had thought to use the same technique. Creativity is a process learned more than an inborn trait".

These words cannot be forgotten, isn't it?

Framed Forever[ ]

While I do like the macro shots, one does'nt have to own a macro lens for that. There is a great amount of detail involved that has to be looked into, if you are going for one. But then that makes it equally interesting. I know these are not the best, but not bad for a non-macro lens...

...Our subject was quite busy flyin around, mayb I need to fix up a time 4 a shoot!

But an interesting frame of the flower popped up in my mind now. I would definitely take it, the next time I go out. Most of the times when I go out, I don't have specific things in my mind that I would capture. But the few instances when I look for a something, makes it very exciting & enjoyable.
