As the leaves fall...

As the leaves fall...
And the colors change...
Wind gets so cold to embrace me like a hot spring...
Everything else seems blurred...
Only a moment of emptiness...
Stare that does not belong to a place...
Only noise I hear are the brustling leaves...

My wait has been longer than her ride...
...she could ever imagine.

Diamonds Unpacked ) *** (

Nature's gift...come mostly unpacked :)

I bought a gift for a friend when I visited India, even though there was a very little chance of meeting. It was a beautiful work, comparable to this.

I really couldn't ignore a friend who thought I was full of something...

For those who are curious, its a shot that I took without viewing...two reasons - its tough to keep the neck unless I have a Giraffe's & the other one due to excess dew on grass. People who know technical aspects will know how tough it is to get this...

Rendevouz with...

This is not the rendevouz with Simi Garewal...

A very ordinary snap...but does'nt it seem like the flower itself is being interviewed...well it's upto the observer. And this is the interesting perpective that I wanted to captivate which I had mentioned in a post sometime back Framed Forever[ ] . I like that show too, though I don't get to see it often. Such interviews really helps get to know people - the taste of the celebrities & their life style.

Apart from being a nature enthusiast, I like observing people too - especially when there are lots of cultural differences. Adaptability is one of my strengths and I enjoy, being in such ambience.

Collated emoticons!

One sentence that I often quote is "Life throws a bunch of surprises". It all results in, well a mixture of emotions, I say - Collated emoticons!

We all have our own collection isn't it?

It's a pleasure to watch both kids & flowers grow, from close by. Both are full of energy and can make one smile, feel fresh, light & make our day brighter. Now I miss my little darling Niece - Shana very much and can't wait to get back to chennai! Whatever, I still remember the smiles (which I had forgot) she brought of me when I held her in my hands one year back. But for now its juz diff varieties of flowers around Richmond to stare at.

If you were wondering what's so special about this shot...it was among my first few shots from the first day of my stint with my new camera in chennai, 2 yrs back...n am stil a beginner! I wanted to use it on something and walked down my apartment to the front yard with these flowers...

How to Name It!

... not the best one, happened to click while out for a shopping.
As said,

Is white for peace!
Wonder who started relating da colors to the abstract emotions...but v follow.
Personally am fond of white and I prefer to keep a shirt & T-shirt of milky white in my wardrobe...

To me, innocence is the first thing that comes to my mind, wherever I see it. I have met/ known few nice people who have alwayz been successful in influencing me, to be a better human. At the end of the day, I would like to close my eyes knowing that I have been, what I wanted to be. Next day does not matter to me.

What will happen without White...well, still willing to while away with whole lot of other colors!

Matrix for Thoughts...

Present becomes far too stretchy...
Past lurks like those ghosts in the dark...
Future weaves its own web...

That's what thoughts can do to one...

Road 2 Nowhere...!

There are some journeys that can only be thought of...some that would remain in our dreams forever...
...n I am too practical to neglect this simple reality...

One of my favorite zones...opp my apartment.

As mskiruba asked: am not an expert in using the SW's to edit. It's a mixture of my instincts, idle time and the freedom to explore...though I want to learn & do it appropriately. But I think, the frame should be composed accordingly, if one decides to edit - as it adds to the appeal.

Drawing Contest...

Does'nt it seem like every bit of cloud is trying to draw some attention...

Yesterday's sky...happened to see it luckily, its been a while. Summer will serve lotta these...Someone up there might be throwin a Cocktail party...

To me each cloud is a celebrity, drawing attention...

Blending with Blue...

How often do we bother to enjoy our surroundings...!

I believe: the real estate sector, the non-stop signal lights & the ever so idle traffic will take a while to completely erase such serence existences...

No one's P(a) lace [^]

Everyone is gifted...but unfortunately many of them don't even open the package...

True most of the times, isn't it! God only knows how many I did'nt!

This is a Buddha temple in Theosophical society. The bright spots you see is the sunlight, falling on...and after seeing the actual ouput, felt it was missing something and looked too ordinary. So after editing, got the way I wanted it to look. Many of the things I visualize/ what I desire to see in my world appear like this to me. If there is a time travel machine, which will take us to such an ideal place, I would be the first to enroll for it!

Though it looks like a place where no one exist...

...being in such ambience is like being in a palace to me!

Valley of Needles!!!

These don't cause much pain...compared to the one, caused by expectations!

...I always fend against them.

I don't prefer to edit my pictures but there are a few which I have edited. Couple of them are special to me as they were taken and edited in the first week of buying my, Olympus E500. Nothing much different from the reality...except that green stands out well.

Taken in Theosophical society in Besant Nagar, Chennai - where I used to hang out in my earlier days of photography [5 mins from my place]. It's a cool place with nice ambience...watch out for the snakes, crawling around. And it's open for public only on some days of the week.

Turning Red...!

Well, she was'nt shying away from me...its probably the sunlight...!

As research suggests, they may not talk but may know our presence!
...I hope anyone who sees this gets the feel of being close to the flower, as I was...

The Pursuit of Happyness...

Pursuit is what the driving force is...no wonder he is after one too!

...while I don't know what lies ahead of me, there is no thought of stopping the pursuit...for it always makes the journey exciting and adventurous.

...am glad that the hours that were spent deciphering the diversified accents in the call center few years back, could'nt kill my attitude for the pursuit...finally got to see "The pursuit of happyness" a very nice movie - reminds a lot about mine [mayb for u too]. All our actions, narrows down to achieving happiness...isn't it?

...and I am still on my pursuit!

Resurrection of Dreams...!

Every sunset takes down with it, the hopes of a million...but then that does'nt stop those millions from dreaming everyday...

Have always wanted to capture sunsets in different ways...and it was just fuelled by Vishnu... 'Sarvam' director. It's not exactly the way it is and you have to bear with the noise in the image. But still it would be my first attempt at getting closer to it. Have mentioned in my earlier post too...No Strings...ven flying! Check out the sky colour and the sunset...@ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oh4nTdIB2Y

Got to go again to get when the sun is further down...but I think I better stop with this sunset thread...
Guys, to read about how crazy people can get sometimes head to Sowmi's post Love is..., interesting to know - had a laugh wondering about such craziness!

The Golden Eye...

We often hear there's someone up there always watching us...! that someone, surely misses a view from here!

I did'nt have to give a second thought to name this...when I picked this to post. Hmm...have you seen a golden eye with eyelid & lashes!

While the poets/ writers, would not be able to resist da temptation to pen their thoughts after a glimpse of this, am better off - juz staring at it.

Feeling the Warmth...

Warmth...something that binds us emotionally too...
Seems me and yellow are going to be inseparable for a while...sometimes see a trace of my lykings everywhere...!

Set with high aperture and shutter values...otherwise normally one would end up getting a reflection or a bright sun on the lens. The next couple of shots to be posted, shot along the banks of the river...

Sumit wants me to narrate the difficulties faced while shooting, like I used to say in my older posts. Thats why had started again. In these kinda one's its important not to look into the sun for long, better avoid staring into it. Though it seems dark in the picture, in reality its far more brighter.

Walk for the Present...

Read today "Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending". That's what I try to do everyday...

...there are so many small things in life that makes each day special!

This place is full of frames, I should say. Along the banks of the river, from the bridge...had been out today for couple of hours and got quite a few good ones!

The Unpredictables...

...we get smiles only, when we come across someone who thinks just like us. Some walk away, some stay...but anyways life has to move on isn't it?

People make their own choices (me too)...often unpredictable.

This snap was a bit hard to capture, since the lens used were not for close up shots. I was flat on the grass, making sure that I don't miss my yellow! fading light makes it also harder to get a focus on; holding the camera lying flat with head tilted up is quite an yoga itself!

...I prefer to take such shots rather than the normal angles...n these are nothin compared to the sufferings the wild life photographers go through to take some of the shots. Sometimes involves clinging between the branches, standing in water for hours, exposted to cold weather, bugbites...all for that single perfect shot! That's where I want to be...someday.

Expressive...

The frame & color that I had in my mind for quite some time...! Wud'nt say that this is what I wanted exactly, but almost - considering that I had no mood to take pictures today!

Have always had a liking for yellow (+black). I realize that I have been filling the pages with flowers...lemme know if any of you is bored lukin at these! but was surprised to know what all yellow symbolises!

Smile is what I see in it...n I hope this brings a smile on all your face too!

Silence that utters...

Silence of a flower...I felt like, it wanted to convey something, but din't! God only knows what it wanted to say.

Remembered reading a research article that plants respond to our emotions and intents. Google for "plants respond to our emotions "...very interesting & big article.

...Lykd da back ground in this, as it luks more lyk a watercolor painting.

Did someone ask me, what the poets in ancient times referred the flowers to...!
