Seductive Invention...

Thomas Edison's improvizations upon a 50-year-old idea brought out a reliable, long-lasting source of light - incandescent electric light.

One need not wonder, what could have been his expectations after that. It is certain that he would have predicted that he has opened the flood doors to the galaxy of artificial illumination. My favorites are always chandeliers, though a vintage lamp would make me curious. Nevertheless modern day lights with calm & good surroundings does tempt me to play around with different camera settings, especially exposure.

With the daylight turning its back and bright lights sleeping, night lamps/ chandeliers bind a spell that can only be realised truly by a light enthusiast.

Quite a contrast...

I saw this empty tin on a day after snowing...if you bend down to take a closer look, the contrast that we get thro' the naked eye, is juz fabulous...

Scattered all along our journey in life, we oversee so many fabulous things...fortunately for some, they do not realize what they have missed, forever...for those who come to know of it, well...

...I am not so fortunate...

There are times when one would believe a constraint exists; some try to break through & some don't...

But actually there isn't any...I know, it ain't that easy to keep ourselves reminded of that fact...

Favorite Minutes...

This is the view from my backyard...

Though I have not been able to break my habit of not seeing the dawn, the zeal to watch the dusk across the globe has not depreciated over the years, but only tops my wish list...

I hope I would be able to collect some more of my favorite minutes before dusk...when I travel in the days to come!

Radiating Minutes...

We see numerous people on the mobile during transit. Some near to their dear one's and some across the globe, radiating the joy on feeling the vibration of the Echo...

I did not realise its importance till I felt it, yes minutes did melt...but that was few years back on a different note...now on hearing my little darling's voice, I wish the days melt too...

The laws of distance constraints are thrown out by voice transmission...

I knew right away that the prince would stand out in the dark back drop among the lighting. It was one of the best one's lighted to perfection.

Recycling Thoughts...for a Green Planet

It was not long ago that I was just shooting inside my little room. I have been away for a while and travelling often. I should say that I have been lucky to be among the good locations.

...Lately, I have been going through lots of photo blogs & each one amazes me...

...While my thoughts spiral into an infinite loop, I try to pacify myself that those are some of places that I may never see before my end.

I feel that a desire to explore photography does not do any good without a desperation to travel around, which I lag a bit. There could be numerous constraints, but I do hope to break my shackles some day!

Stepping Stones to the Clouds _--_

I have started thinking, will I ever get bored taking pictures with my favorite sky blue backdrop!

Seems to be a 'No', hope you are also not fed up with seeing such colors. Since I have grown up in a place thats often devoid of such colors, it has been my desire to captivate frames with such colors. And so far the hunger for it seems to have not subsided.

Looking at such a structure with a beautiful backdrop...
Located in a city along the waters, surrounded by icy mountains…
If one takes a deep breathe...
The clean air with the chillness that hits the nostrils and then lungs...
Would leave anyone mesmerized...

Isn't it amazing that eyes are also the gateway to our emotions...

While the answers could be given with a stare/ glance...It can also provide those looks that poses uncertain questions!

Tunnel Rats...

For those who are familiar with the title, this post has got nothing to do with the Vietnam War [1959-1975] .

...Life just carries us through time, our stop watch starts the moment we are born,
...Thereafter the destination seems to extend forever,
...As the length of the journey seems infinite, there may not be any inclination to rest or to part ways, but for some it is that glitter of hope in the distance, that keeps the spirit up!

Recently I read a phrase somewhere "No one knows when life ends once it starts, nice ending happens only in fairy tales". May be true, but for some there is this undying hope that each one would be a character in that fairy tale...

...Am one among that head count!

The Lighter Side...

Like the dark and lighter side of humans.
These may be some of the perceptions towards me...

I'm dark when I don't smile, but I'm light when I do smile
I'm dark when I speak from my heart, but I'm light When I don't
I'm dark when I am silent, but I'm light when I'm humorous
I'm dark when I would like to be alone, but I'm light When I party
I'm dark when I care for others, but I'm light when I'm selfish

Nevertheless this is the way I'm comfortable with and so be it, who cares!
...I guess chennai's hot Sun has nothing to do!

Unbreakable Bonds...

Whether its on thise side or that side, some bonds are unbreakable.

...Not that they are too strong, but life just becomes meaningless without that affection...

Thats what I observed in this one more instance...

While the whale and its new born were resting, a mother and her kid waited with anticipation to see them both swim around...I had aniticipated that I would get such a lighting on their face...
